Geneviève Andræssen's bachelor's concert

”The cure for anything is saltwater: Sweat, Tears, or the Sea.”
~ Karen Blixen

The salt roads of land and sea have existed since time immemorial, weaving endless networks by which news, medicine, food, and people have traveled, carrying music and stories with them to sprout new roots and don new names in foreign soil. From the pulsing ocean currents of the womb, to our own haemoglobin tributaries, to the lunatic, rhythmic, ebb and flow of the tides, we are all connected in an unending web of storylines, made and remade again through saltwater and song.

Welcome to Geneviève’s bachelor’s concert; an evening of music that has crossed oceans, dances and folktales that defy geographic borders, and the search for saltwater medicine—through sweat, tears, and the sea; a rememberance of how alike we are, and a joyful celebration of our differences.
