Taideyliopiston Sibelius-Akatemia

Performances 5.9., 6.9. ja 7.9.

Four teenagers are doing a group work assignment giving a lecture about the survival strategies of the human species. They are helped by two pianists and a repertoire including Bizet’s Carmen and Bernstein’s West Side Story. They claim ownership of this music by using it to describe the world as they see it: norms, rules, clichés and an absolute need for dreams and friendship.

The performance is a practical course in stage performance for vocal arts students at the Sibelius Academy, part of their Bachelor’s degree.

Mannerheimintie renovation project

Access to the Musiikkitalo from the direction of Mannerheimintie will be difficult. We recommend that you allow enough time for your arrival and use the entrance on the side of Kansalaistori if possible. According to current information, the entrance to Mannerheimintie will also remain in use throughout the renovation, but pedestrian routes can be challenging at times.

We recommend following the official information channels of the renovation project, where you can find the most up-to-date information.
