We are always excited to welcome children to Musiikkitalo! For school visits, you can book a tour of the building or attend one of our concerts. For day-care and nurseries, we offer a range of children’s concerts dedicated with the children’s age and interests in mind. Did you know that the Concert Hall stage is not just a stage but also the biggest drum in Finland!
School visits
Tours of Musiikkitalo are available for primary and secondary schools free of charge. Our tour lasts for 45 minutes and is a chance for students to discover the building’s unique architecture, visit our spectacular Concert Hall and find out what really happens here day-to-day. Please note that this tour does not include any musical performances.

The tours are intended for a single class at a time, and the students must be joined by an adult supervisor. To book your tour, please contact ryhmat@musiikkitalo.fi at least 1 month before your visit. Time slots are usually available between 13:00–15:00.
Concerts and dress rehearsals
One concert is worth more than a thousand words! Free tickets are available for students to attend The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and The Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra dress rehearsals. To book your tickets, please contact the orchestras directly: Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Older students are also welcome to attend The Sibelius Academy matinees free of charge. These concerts are a fantastic opportunity for young people to hear live music performed by their peers. Tickets can be booked directly with the matinee producers. Please see our events calendar for contact details and more information on dates and times.
Students are also eligible for concession tickets to many other concerts. To book group tickets, contact us by email on ryhmat@musiikkitalo.fi or by telephone on 020 707 0426 (Monday to Friday, 10:00–14:00).
For nursery age children and students in the first two years of primary school we recommend our children’s concerts, some of which are free. More information about these concerts is listed in our events calendar.
