Jazz pianist Teemu Kekkonen performs with his trio.

Finnish jazz pianist & composer Teemu Kekkonen is a rising star in the European scene.
Thoughtfully crafted compositions, cinematic harmonies, captivating grooves and familiar
melodies are the cornerstones of his music.
One foot in Finland’s folk roots and one in the most urbane of metropolitan jazz clubs, the trio is as
adaptable as the leader’s omnivorous mind demands. Their openness to everything from Ravel to
rock, traditional Finnish music to contemporary jazz provides a highly individual twist on the classic
trio format, for an experience that is equally calming and exhilarating.
