Hop on your bike and roll over to the terrace at Musiikkitalo to celebrate National Cycling Week!

At the Musiikkitalo terrace, cyclists are powered by Maestro Ruscello e Gruppo Velocità. The ensemble’s repertoire features Finnish and international hits, jazz, dance and light music from the early 20th century, along with occasional comic songs. The quintet’s programme ranges from waltz, bolero, foxtrot and swing to German march-tango and exotic sounds from afar.

With the band setting the pace, you can loosen legs stiff from pedalling or enjoy a refreshing recovery drink from the Musiikkitalo terrace bar. Free bicycle bells will be available for the first arrivals – while supplies last. Let’s add more sound to the bike lanes!

The event also kicks off the Musiikkitalo terrace season. Come and enjoy live music on Helsinki’s sunniest terrace – the must-visit spot of the summer, whether you arrive by bike or any other means.

Cycling Week takes place on 8–17 May 2026 under the theme “Cycling and Art.”
