Dancing Woman – Solo piano music by Finnish composing women

Pianist Jenna Ristilä’s third doctoral recital, Dancing Woman, consists of dance-related solo piano works by Finnish composing women.

Dance has many musical manifestations – it can be anything from intellectual baroque suites to virtuosic romantic character pieces.

The program has a wide timeframe: Fantasy and Waltz by Natalia Berg is the second piece a Finnish composing woman has ever published in her own name, whereas the new work by Aino Tenkanen will have its premiere in this recital.

Mannerheimintie renovation project

Access to the Musiikkitalo from the direction of Mannerheimintie will be difficult. We recommend that you allow enough time for your arrival and use the entrance on the side of Kansalaistori if possible. According to current information, the entrance to Mannerheimintie will also remain in use throughout the renovation, but pedestrian routes can be challenging at times.

We recommend following the official information channels of the renovation project, where you can find the most up-to-date information.
