Reconnaissance – for chorus, double bass and percussion

Following the international success of its GRAMMY-Award-winning recording, the Helsinki Chamber Choir reacquaints itself with the works of Kaija Saariaho in a portrait concert featuring large-scale works spanning 41 years. Reconnaissance has been described as “the most important choral work composed on this side of the turn of the millennium” (MusicWeb International), and the concert also features the atmospheric and much-loved Nuits, adieux. The youthful energy of Suomenkielinen sekakuorokappale and haunting electronic sounds of Tag des Jahrs complete the programme.
