Quite Vivian is an international jazz trio whose distinctive sound is shaped by an unusual instrumentation: saxophonist Adele Sauros, French guitarist Wilfried Wilde and Australian drummer Rajiv Jayaweera. For this concert, Jayaweera is replaced by Finnish drummer Joonas Leppänen. Quite Vivian’s compositions play with rhythm, colourful harmonies and memorable melodies.

The band’s members are internationally respected musicians who met while performing together in the Focusyear Band 2023 project in Basel, Switzerland. Adele Sauros is a Helsinki‑based saxophonist and bandleader who has released several albums and performed at renowned jazz festivals across Europe. Wilfried Wilde is a French guitarist and bandleader currently based in Basel, who has made a strong impact particularly within the Spanish jazz scene in recent years. The band’s latest album also features guest appearances by world‑famous saxophonist Chris Cheek.
