Born in 2005, Jan Liebermann is a spectacular talent who has rapidly risen to become one of the brightest stars on the organ firmament.

He has swept up prizes at international organ competitions and made a début at the famous Philharmonie in Berlin with both a solo recital and an appearance with the Berlin Philharmonic in autumn 2025.

Liebermann compares the organ to an orchestra: “We organists have innumerable instruments under our fingers all at once. We have flutes, we have trumpets, trombones and strings, an entire symphony orchestra.” He is also interested in how every organ is an individual and in designing a customised repertoire for each instrument. Hearing the 124-stop organ at the Musiikkitalo under Jan Liebermann’s hands (and feet) is something very special!
