World Unseen – Stories from the Seas

World Unseen is Canon’s international project that brings within people’s reach stories that would otherwise remain untold. Through technology and photographic art, the project aims to increase understanding of the uniqueness of the oceans and the importance of protecting them – both globally and locally in the Baltic Sea.

The World Unseen photography exhibition brings to light both the beauty – and the horror – of corals and the Baltic Sea’s eelgrass meadows, as well as their significance for marine ecosystems. It takes the viewer on a journey from the world’s oceans to the fragile environment of the Baltic Sea. The exhibition brings together works by award-winning photographers that reveal the hidden worlds of the seas in stunning form.

Exhibition highlights:
– Meeri Koutaniemi’s coral photographs from the Indian Ocean
– Pekka Tuuri’s unique images of the common eelgrass from the Baltic Sea
– Works by young people from the Canon Young People Program on water themes

The exhibition is produced in collaboration with Canon Finland and the John Nurminen Foundation.

Welcome to experience the world in a new way!
